Learning About CHIO Aachen CAMPUS
My weekend kicked off with an information event about the CHIO Aachen CAMPUS, a fascinating initiative sponsored by Rolex. The CAMPUS aims to foster education and innovation in the equine industry. It was enlightening to learn about the various programs and opportunities it offers to equestrians and enthusiasts alike.
Media Cocktail and Networking
Next up was the media cocktail, where I had the pleasure of mingling with some of the most amazing journalists from the equine industry. The atmosphere was lively, and it was fantastic to exchange stories and insights with fellow media professionals who share the same passion for horses and equestrian sports.
Panel Discussion with Equestrian Legends
One of the highlights of the weekend was attending a panel discussion featuring former Rolex Grand Prix winners in Aachen: Rodrigo Pessoa, Scott Brash, Daniel Deusser, Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum, and Jeroen Dubbeldam. Hearing these legends share their experiences, challenges, and triumphs was incredibly inspiring. Their stories added a deeper appreciation for the dedication and skill required to excel in this sport.
The Rolex Grand Prix
Sunday was the grand finale with the Rolex Grand Prix, which is always my favorite day. The excitement and energy in the air were palpable as top riders from around the world competed for this prestigious title. Watching the thrilling rounds and witnessing the sheer talent and determination of the competitors was a truly unforgettable experience.
Reflections and Future Plans
As I didn't have someone to accompany me, I had to film the overview and my thoughts on the events later at home. While it was a bit challenging to manage everything solo, it gave me a unique perspective on the experience. Currently, I am looking for a full-time team member to join me, and I am absolutely looking forward to the next events where I can provide even more exclusive insights and behind-the-scenes content.
